Your Career We currently have an opening in our Northport, Alabama office for a highly motivated individual with a strong work ethic to join our Production team in the role of Production Supervisor. Job overview The Pole Plant Supervisor's main purpose is to run production in a safe and efficient manner to produce a quality product. In order to accomplish this, the Supervisor must lead their shift by example, demonstrating a high standard of behaviour, communication, and professionalism. The Supervisor is ultimately responsible for the actions of the supervisory team and the employees within their shift. The Supervisor is and must act as the leader of their shift. They must utilize a team approach to ensure that StressCrete's policies and standards are upheld. The Supervisor's conduct is a direct reflection of the Plant Manager, Upper Management, and the Company as a whole. All decisions made by the Supervisor must be in the best interest of the StressCrete Group.

Monday•Friday | 3:30 PM•12:00
AM Weekends:
Occasionally Your Experience Complete daily pouring and dumping list prior to the start of the shift. The lists must include all priority orders as specified on the daily schedule. Complete daily shift information report and email it to the appropriate parties at the end of every shift. Fill out the production schedule at the end of every shift. Ensure accuracy throughout all documentation. Compile all shift paperwork into a package and file accordingly on a daily basis. Ensure all sub-department paperwork is filled out accurately by group leaders. Ensure crane inspections are completed on a daily basis. Manage and approve employee vacation requests in a timely manner, ensuring that no more than 2 employees are off at the same time and no departments are left at risk. Review and approve employees' hours worked at the end of every shift and week. Complete scrap reports in a timely manner with the involved parties (Quality Control and responsible employees). Fill out and submit incident investigation reports in a timely and thorough manner.
Leadership:
Strive to achieve production goals on a daily and weekly basis by setting and maintaining an appropriate pace of production. Foster a team mentality amongst the shift supervisors to achieve production goals. Maintain a high standard of communication amongst the shift supervisors. Ensure that the shift is left in good condition to guarantee a successful start for the following shift. Conduct pre-shift meetings at the beginning of every shift, ensuring that all essential communications are shared. Check-in with Assistant Supervisors and Group Leaders throughout the shift on a daily basis. Responsible for mentoring and training all Assistant Supervisors. Immediately address critical injuries, according to StressCrete's Critical Injury protocols. Communicate disciplinary action in the forms of reprimands and suspensions, ensuring all paperwork is completed in a timely and thorough manner. Provide the first response to all employee conflicts, seeking additional support if necessary. Ensure all departments are appropriately staffed and essential positions are covered ahead of time. Responsible for shifting employees into appropriate positions to achieve coverage. Ensure new employees receive training and conduct progress checks. Ensure cross training is being conducted to mitigate risks and cover all positions.
Operations:
Ensure all employees are working in a safe manner at all times. Ensure all employees wear the required PPE at all times. Ensure break times are being abided by and are taken at appropriate times. Ensure that positions are being performed to StressCrete SOP standards. Ensure that equipment and tool breakdowns/ inefficiencies are reported/ communicated to maintenance. Ensure that low inventory levels are communicated with purchaser and inventory supervisor. Ensure bathroom and lunchroom cleanups are being completed. Ensure that housekeeping and cleanliness is maintained throughout the department.
Educational & Experience:
3-5 Years of Supervisor Leadership Experience. Previous experience managing or supervising a team is considered an asset. Demonstrated ability to lead production employees in a proactive and positive manner. Proficient with Microsoft Office tools; Word, Excel, Outlook.

Working Conditions:
Safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel-toed safety boots are mandatory in all areas of the plant/production shop floor.
