Production Supervisor Auburn, California - Onsite Work schedule: First shift Full-Time |
Direct Hire Compensation:
$100,000 - $115,000 Base + Bonus •This position may require access to export-controlled information and/or technical data subject to U.S. government regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). In accordance with these regulations, applicants must qualify as a "U.S. Person" as defined by ITAR to be eligible for positions requiring such access.•We're partnering with a highly engineered manufacturing operation supporting critical aerospace and industrial production programs. The team is seeking a hands-on Production Supervisor who can drive accountability, improve workflow efficiency, and lead manufacturing teams in a fast-paced, KPI-driven environment. This role is ideal for a strong floor leader who knows how to keep production moving, organize priorities, and lead teams with urgency. The operation is experiencing increased production demand and backlog challenges, so leadership presence and execution are far more important than deep CNC programming expertise. The right candidate will be comfortable spending significant time on the manufacturing floor, driving production schedules, supporting continuous improvement efforts, coordinating labor resources, and helping teams hit daily operational targets. Candidates from aerospace, machining, metal fabrication, industrial manufacturing, automotive, or other high-volume manufacturing environments are all encouraged to apply. Key Responsibilities This Production Supervisor will lead daily manufacturing operations across assigned production areas including machining, fabrication, assembly, and testing operations. The position is responsible for driving productivity, improving workflow efficiency, supporting lean manufacturing initiatives, managing labor allocation, and ensuring safety and quality standards are consistently maintained. The supervisor will actively monitor production KPIs, identify bottlenecks, support root-cause problem solving, and work cross-functionally with operations, quality, engineering, and supply chain teams to ensure customer schedules and production commitments are achieved. This role also includes coaching and developing manufacturing employees while helping create a high-accountability culture on the production floor. Core Requirements 3+ years of manufacturing leadership or production supervision experience Experience leading teams in fast-paced manufacturing or shop-floor environments Strong understanding of KPIs, labor planning, production flow, and workflow management Experience with lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, or root-cause analysis methodologies Ability to lead teams directly on the floor and drive accountability in high-volume production settings Preferred Background BA or BS degree in Operations Management Aerospace, machining, fabrication, automotive, or industrial manufacturing experience Exposure to continuous improvement tools such as 5S, Fishbone, 5 Why, or 8-Step problem solving Experience supporting multi-shift production environments Strong communication and team leadership skills Comfortable working in KPI-driven operations environments Employee Benefits Highlights Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability coverage available beginning the first month of employment 401(k) retirement plan with company match plus paid holidays and PTO accrual beginning immediately Education reimbursement program available after six months of employment Wellness, employee assistance, parental leave, HSA/FSA programs, and additional voluntary benefit options available
