Ballico, CA Job Details Full-time From $70,304 a year 5 days ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off Vision insurance 401(k) matching Life insurance Qualifications Food production Spanish Teamwork Management Food processing English Supervising experience Full Job Description Position Purpose The qualified candidate will develop and motivate a group of production and receiving employees to receive, organize, fumigate, process, and package almonds.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise a team of production and receiving employees
- Ensure each variety or shipment is processed to the correct specification
- Oversee Receiving, Sampling, and Fumigation of incoming Almonds
- Ensure quality and efficiency standards are met on daily basis
- Provide regular safety and production training for the employees
- Maintain an organized and orderly environment
- Manage all materials, labor and equipment resources in an efficient manner
- Organize and assign inventory to work orders for processing and/or shipment
- Inform Plant Manager of any deviations, staff issues, or other concerns
- Interact with supporting departments in a cooperative and effective manner
- Follow and ensure adherence to established Hilltop Ranch Inc., local, state, and federal regulations and requirements as well as food safety, sanitation, food production and nutritional guidelines.
- Establish and ensure adherence to procedures and standards, which are in agreement with these regulations, requirements and guidelines.
- Ability to follow, comply and enforce all safety policies and procedures
- Responsibilities are not limited to the above mentioned and may include assisting other departments within reasonable and related tasks.
QUALIFICATIONS
- AA / BA degree or equivalent experience
- Must have 3 to 5 years of supervising experience
- Able to work nights, overtime, and weekends as needed
- Knowledge of almond processing equipment a plus
- Ability to follow and comply with all safety policies and procedures
- Must be able to pass a physical and drug test
SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES
- Bilingual (English / Spanish) is required
- Ability to work with groups-team oriented personality
- Organizational skills
- Self Motivated
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Will occasionally stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle and feel, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear, taste and smell.
- Will frequently sit and occasionally climb or balance and stoop, kneel crouch or crawl.
- Must use both hands for rapid mental muscular coordination, simultaneously.
- Must be able to reach high and low levels, frequently.
- Must be able to push/pull/lift with arms below waist/at shoulder/above shoulder level up to 50 pounds frequently.
- Must lift with arms up to floor to waist, waist to shoulder 60 pounds.
- Must be able to constantly stand/stoop/walk/bend, up to 12 hours/throughout the shift.
- Ability to strenuous flex/grip with wrist/hands frequently (15 flexion/minute).
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- May work near moving mechanical parts.
- May work around wet or humid conditions, in high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, high noise levels, outdoor weather conditions, extreme cold (non-weather), extreme heat (non-weather), risk of electrical shock, and/or risk of vibration.
