Civil Foreman KS Industries - 3.5 Carlsbad, CA Job Details Full-time 1 day ago Qualifications Driver's License Full Job Description G eneral Summary A General Foreman provides leadership and is responsible for, although not limited to scheduling, workforce planning, coordinating, supervising, assisting in cost control and ensuring the safety of all crew members as well as consistently applying all KSI policies and procedures fairly. E ssential Job Functions 1 . Regular and reliable attendance. 2 . Prepared and on time for scheduled shift with proper PPE. 3 . Must possess a current and valid Driver License with clean driving record. 4 . Assist crews as necessary in order to perform job efficiently and safely, utilizes scope and risk management tools. 5 . Manages resource utilization (people, tools and equipment) and request manpower as required. 6 . Evaluates crew capabilities including foreman like training and coaching to ensure that the crews meet required levels of quality. 7 . Effectively communicates with all crew members to set and maintain work standards and outlining behavioral expectations to ensure morale along with productively. 8 . Effectively resolves conflict and takes appropriate personnel actions by recognizing and addressing issues between crew(s). 9 . Conducts safe work and performs safety audits like identifying safety training needs and facilitates delivery of training. 1 0. Participates in and monitors safety tailgate meetings, safety/incident investigations and reviews. 1 1. Ensure timely response, actions and corrections to any safety issue. 1 2. Oversees the execution of the work, including quality and production. 1 3. Understand civil drawings as well as ensures crews work to job specifications and follow drawings. 1 4. Implement workforce plans and schedules, review and adjusts specific workforce activities and task schedules to meet established production agendas. 1 5. Reports any scheduling conflicts with other crews and contractors to the appropriate personnel. 1 6. Utilizes CI tools to reduce job cost and KSI's cost of doing business also reports on crew production, work progress and change. 1 7. Attends customer meetings as needed with estimating cost control, resource loading, project performance and improvement. 1 8. Coach and mentor fellow crew members and be actively involved in safety processes and provide team building skills. 1 9. Develop knowledge of KSI PPM-SOPs and refer to the SOP Manual prior to each task. 2 0. Follow all KSI safety, and customer policies and procedures. 2 1. Conditions:
T he locations vary from site to site. Work is physically demanding and requires the ability to concentrate well on the job at hand, in all types of weather. Majority of the work is construction-based work. Walking and working surface vary depending on the terrain, from flat to extreme slopes and frozen, wet, snowy and slippery conditions. W orking
Hours:
N ormally, a full-time employee will work 40 hours per week, depending on the factors such as weather and schedules. Work schedules and hours may vary depending on specific client locations and projects. In general, applicable work schedules include 5-8's and 4-10's. All labor laws in reference to rest breaks and meal periods will be followed.
