The Inshell Production Supervisor is responsible for Inshell Processing in Building 6 and 7 and for assisting RTE, Roasting, Building 2, Silo, and Maintenance. This role creates partnerships with other departments to achieve company objectives and initiatives. This role ensures compliance with all labor laws, safety standards, quality requirements, company policies, and regulations.MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage and maintain daily standards through all Inshell buildings 6 and 7 process equipment areas. Responsible for managing the 3rd-shift Inshell Processing Area and assisting other departments when needed. Deliver the Mission and Vision by demonstrating and instilling core values to all team members. Responsible for performance management and recognition. Manage daily and weekly run schedules to meet yearly Inshell Department and plant goals. Manage all Inshell Process WIP by FIFO and assist other departments as needed. Ensure safety, quality, and productivity goals are met daily and annually. Responsible for daily review of 3rd shift Inshell Process timecards. Manage all Inshell vacation requests with limited disruption to processing output. Develop and communicate the daily product schedule for 3rd-shift in Kernel Building and Buildings 6 and 7 in addition to other departments when needed. Must have knowledge in operating color sorter. Train, guide, and assist color-sort operators. Responsible for ensuring and improving the performance, productivity, efficiency and profitability of raw Kernel Department and organizational operations by implementing effective strategies and continuous improvement. Analyze, propose, and implement process changes to gain efficiency and reliability to support Kernel Department and business objectives. Provide direction to production, and other departments when needed. Supply guidance and support to raw Kernel Production Supervisor, front-line team and other departments when required. Provide daily feedback to the Directors of Inshell and other departments' leadership regarding any issues or concerns via email. Support X3 functions within Kernel Department and other departments as time allows. Support maintaining work orders in proper sequence. Work closely with 1st and 2nd shift, making sure Inshell process daily & weekly schedules are executed. Develop front-line team leadership by providing business, leadership, and technical training. Ensure a safe work environment by leading safety initiatives for the operations team. Review staffing needs of raw Inshell process to ensure staff aligns requirements, including recruiting and hiring. Perform other tasks and special projects assigned by managers and/or directors.JOB ATTRIBUTES

BA/BS Degree in Business or Ag Business preferred, or a combination of education and experience. 3+ years of managerial experience in Manufacturing Management preferred.Computer Proficiency:

Facilities Technician III will be responsible for the overall maintenance and reliability of company-owned commercial and industrial buildings, plant utilities, and the plant mobile equipment fleet. The Technician will be responsible for maintaining, inspecting, cleaning, and changing batteries for the mobile fleet. This position will also be required to perform basic maintenance on the commercial and industrial structures on campus as per the needs of the department. The Technician will also be required to perform preventive, corrective, and reactive maintenance tasks. This position will also be required to perform inspections and repairs on utility equipment including compressors, boilers, and generators. Technicians will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and hazard-free environment in compliance with FSMA and SQF standards. Firm understanding of commercial/industrial building maintenance practices and techniques required. Successful candidates will have a firm grasp of mechanical, electrical, and controls principles/best practices.SAFETY ABILITY

Complete basic commercial/industrial building maintenance work as needed. Responsible for completing repairs and preventative/predictive inspections of all plant production assets. Ability to perform MIG and TIG. Experience in pipe fitting Painting projects - complete painting of industrial equipment and buildings as needed. Plumbing work for hand wash stations, eye wash stations, drainage, gutter systems, utilities water. Understanding of basic plant utility and distribution systems (Electrical, Compressed Air, Steam, Water) Repair/Maintain underground utility piping including excavating earth if necessary. Work with drywall and sheetrock repairs as well as building/office trim, windows, etc. Complete daily/weekly regulatory compliance testing and documentation as assigned. Complete any work needed for office staff to facilitate office relocations and redesign projects. Work with management to assist on all projects and scheduled work for department as needed. Maintain all equipment associated with utilities. Maintain daily - boilers, compressors and water logs. Perform repairs on utility equipment. Cisco Fire Systems Maintain complete ownership and control of the battery-changing area including: 48V Lead-Acid Standard Batteries 48V TPPL Batteries 36V Gel Filled Rapid Charge Batteries Cleaning of batteries when needed. Ensure proper charging cycle for all 48V batteries. Ensure proper watering and general battery care. Always ensure safe and clean work areas Complete all needed preventative maintenance items within the maintenance CMM.Assist in equipment maintenance tasks:
Assist with MTs reactive maintenance calls. Perform preventative maintenance on processing equipment. Perform repairs and corrective tasks on processing equipment. Experience in HVAC systems and able to perform preventive maintenance and repairs. Able to understand, diagnose, and wire analog sensors (4-20 mA and 0-10 V) Reading and interpreting red line drawings. Experience with hydraulic circuits, pumps, cylinders, and pressure regulators Understanding of pneumatic systems, air compressors, valves, and actuatorsPOSITION REQUIREMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Understand basic working principles of batteries designed for a variety of uses. Experience working with storage batteries, their maintenance and repair - 2 years preferred. Experience with 48V Experience with 120V, 208V, and 480V Experience working with 24VDC control systems. Understanding in Arc Flash and electrical safety. Working knowledge of safety precautions needed and PPE required for working around storage batteries. Ability to effectively communicate with all plant personnel. Fluent in Spanish preferred but not required. Ability to lift 100lbs occasionally while normally lifting upwards of 50lbs repeatedly. Working knowledge of battery construction and tear-down procedures. Respond in a timely manner to production needs maintaining a high sense of urgency. Ability to work with outside resources (vendors) as needed. Communicate necessary upgrades or major repairs, including any required removal of capital assets from general service. Be able to confidently explain the current condition of assets and communicate needs to nontechnical employees. Participate in annual production training to ensure compliance with Nichols Farms standards and SOPs.
