The Foreman is the key person in charge of overseeing the completion of the project and as such must be able to see the "big picture" at all times. They must have a good gameplan and the ability to organize employees based on the task at hand while keeping in mind their team's strengths. The ideal applicant will have a solid background in the shop, strong leadership skills and the ability to direct the work of others and make quick decisions. The Foreman must be well-organized and strongly focused on safety above all and at all times. Foreman Requirements and Qualifications Ability to read drawings, plans and blueprints and convey this information to others Ability to use a computer and tablet to read and update schedules and work progress Ability to read, manage, and convey the shop and project schedules Excellent organizational and leadership skills Ability to communicate and report effectively Aptitude in math and strong problem-solving abilities Minimum of 5 years of fabrication experience in a leadership role Good physical condition and stamina Fluency in English; Spanish a plus Evening Shift availability (2:30pm-11:00pm) Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate fabrication shop activities to meet production goals.
  • Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate fabrication.
  • Utilize a variety of hand and power tools for cutting, shaping, and assembling metal components.
  • Oversee welding processes, including Flux, MIG, TIG, and stick welding.
  • Manage inventory of materials and supplies for fabrication projects.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to shop personnel, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.
