Aerospace Production Supervisor Caliberr Staffing Orange, CA Job Details Full-time $32.89 - $47.60 an hour 17 hours ago Qualifications Labor law compliance Operational management Employment law Manufacturing standard operating procedures Manufacturing facility Materials handling Manufacturing company experience Material handling safety practices Full Job Description Role Overview As a Secondary Process/Production Supervisor, you will serve as a hands-on leader responsible for maintaining facility compliance regarding parts production balances and inventory system accuracy. Your daily focus will involve organizing order processing schedules, delegating tasks based on individual associate expertise, and providing mentorship through active participation in equipment operation and process management. Key Responsibilities Direct the daily activities of entry-level production staff to ensure all internal and external customer requirements are satisfied. Organize production workflows to adhere to established dispatch priorities and schedules. Develop daily operational plans to support overall production targets and manage backlogs. Oversee safety, quality, and compliance initiatives to help maintain a secure and regulatory-compliant working environment for the entire team. Ensure all staff members are thoroughly trained and follow established Quality and Safety protocols in collaboration with the Environmental Health and Safety Manager. Track manpower and production output to optimize efficiency and proactively develop contingency plans for potential operational challenges. Identify product quality concerns and implement process improvements to enhance plant performance. Maintain appropriate levels of essential production supplies. Manage and oversee inventory levels effectively. Support Lean and 5S initiatives to help reduce operational costs through the application of strategic excellence. Verify the accuracy of hourly employee time records against production assignments. Approve timecards for hourly staff on a daily and consistent basis. Assess individual performance and set clear objectives for manufacturing techniques. Uphold high standards for facility housekeeping. Examine and measure components to ensure they meet strict product specifications. Evaluate production and quality data to minimize scrap and report findings to leadership. Coordinate with various departments to ensure orders remain on schedule and compliant. Facilitate the transfer of process orders to the Heat Treat department. Collaborate with the Production Control Manager to plan and execute annual physical inventory audits. Achieve productivity and quality benchmarks while working with management to resolve performance roadblocks. Enforce workplace conduct, safety protocols, and company policies. Facilitate team meetings to communicate updates on training, policies, and safety information. Foster a positive and collaborative work culture. Mentor and develop associates while holding them accountable for their efficiency and performance. Manage personnel matters, including routine training, coaching, and counseling. Complete additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications Required Knowledge:
Understanding of local, state, and federal labor laws. Knowledge of safe material handling and lifting procedures for production equipment. Familiarity with standard production terminology.

Education and Experience:
At least 3 years of direct production operations experience within an aerospace manufacturing setting. A Bachelor's degree is preferred but not required. Possession of a college degree or equivalent business experience, ideally within the aerospace sector.
Working Conditions Environment:
The following environments represent the typical settings where an employee will perform their essential duties: Indoor manufacturing facility settings. Various zones throughout the production plant. Office environments located within the support and machine shop buildings.
Physical Requirements:
To successfully perform the essential functions of this role, the employee must be capable of the following: Bending, twisting, stooping, crouching, crawling, climbing, balancing, kneeling, or squatting to help maneuver dyes into position. Lifting weights up to 40 lbs. from the ground to waist height on a repetitive basis throughout a shift. Candidates must possess current authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis without the need for future sponsorship.
