Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM•2:30 PM (occasional overtime as needed) About the Role Japan Gold USA is seeking a hands-on Production Supervisor to oversee daily food manufacturing and packaging operations. This position is responsible for supervising production staff, ensuring food safety and production standards are met, maintaining production records, coordinating materials and supplies, and supporting continuous improvement within the facility. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, safety-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. Key ResponsibilitiesProduction & Team Leadership Supervise daily production activities and work areas Lead, train, and support production team members Ensure compliance with food safety, GMP, sanitation, and workplace safety standards Monitor production schedules and ensure production goals are met Assist with food production, packaging, labeling, palletizing, and warehouse support as needed Conduct routine inspections of machinery and equipment Maintain clean and organized work areas Administrative & Inventory Responsibilities Complete and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly production logs and verification records Create, update, and implement production forms and tracking logs Maintain packaging and material inventory tracking records Receive and inspect incoming materials and packaging supplies Manufacture finished products into inventory using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (BC) Coordinate purchasing of packaging materials, cleaning supplies, and production equipment Communicate with vendors and suppliers regarding orders and deliveries Research cost-effective sourcing opportunities for production materials Physical & Operational Duties Operate food manufacturing and packaging equipment Wash and prepare vegetables and ingredients for production Lift and move materials up to 55 lbs throughout the shift Push and pull pallet jacks and bulk materials Perform repetitive motions including bending, lifting, walking, reaching, and stacking cases on pallets Label, rotate, and organize packaging materials and inventory Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required Previous food manufacturing or production experience preferred Supervisory or leadership experience is highly beneficial Basic computer skills including updating logs and production documentation Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Forklift experience is a plus Work Environment This position works in a food manufacturing and warehouse environment with exposure to production machinery, moderate to high noise levels, refrigerated storage areas, and repetitive physical activity. Physical Requirements Frequently lift and move up to 55 lbs Stand for extended periods of time Perform repetitive movements throughout the shift Ability to safely operate production equipment and machinery Must have close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus Additional Information This job description is not intended to be a complete list of all duties and responsibilities.
