Job Description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities Day to day management/supervision of assigned Lab environment personnel. Plan, design, implement, and manage a customer-facing lab environment showcasing networking products and technologies, including servers, network switches, and supporting infrastructure such as monitoring tools. Facilities Management. Define lab requirements, coordinate equipment procurement, and oversee installation, configuration, and operational readiness Collaborate with internal teams to develop and deliver interactive demonstrations that highlight product capabilities and solutions Partner with cross-functional teams to create and maintain passive product displays, including hardware setups and technical signage within the lab Recruit, screen, hire, train, retain, discipline direct labor, Timecards, PTO, reviews, performance improvements, cultivate team leads. Manage and ensure accuracy of timecards. Plan and Schedule for OT when necessary. Coordinate material, equipment, facilities, and labor to achieve production targets. Manage constraints. Report shift's outputs. Participate and conduct pass down meetings. Work collaboratively with Process Engineering, R&D, Quality, Planning, Facilities, and Equipment Maintenance to achieve output targets. Provide inputs and feedback for improvement. Shift planning such that production and maintenance shift targets are achieved. Maximizing the contributions from available resources. Organize employee training and development through operator appraisals. Ensure Health & Safety standards/procedures are adhered to. Ensure all clean room protocols are adhered. Communicate daily/weekly shift goals/targets to shift personnel. Ensure that personnel receive appropriate training in line with training schedule/programs. Provide accurate information with respect to all production & engineering (process & equipment). related issues to the appropriate person / supervisor / manager. Analyze manufacturing information and implement any required actions to ensure goals are achieved. Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) e.g., CAMSTAR and Product Data Management (PDM) systems e.g., Agile. Experience with MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint. Promote quality awareness and encourage ideas for improvement. Maintain a consistent and fair approach to all designated shift personnel. Promote working practices and formalized procedures. Respond to business needs, scheduling WIP and maintenance in order to meet desired output. Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Optics, Physics , Electronics or a related field (or equivalent practical experience); Master's degree or higher preferred 7+ years of experience in the communications and Optical industry in technical roles. (Manufacturing) Strong problem-solving and technical troubleshooting skills in complex environments Customer-facing experience is a plus, with the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and effectively Skills Heighten ability to attention to detail. Good at working with small parts. Experience with semi-automated and automated processing tools. Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Word. Meticulous and thorough; diligent with data entry and follow workflow. Ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend English required. Integrity and self-motivated. Ability to work in fast paced team and independent setting all within a clean room. Knowledge of machining, construction, electrical useful. Ability to control all operations on a shift including the ability to: Implement remedial action to sustain committed/required wafer throughput and quality. Record all pertinent information. Effectively allocate resources. Provide constructive instructions to designated shift. Positively motivate designated shift personnel. Promote a consistent approach within supervisory group. Committed individual with appreciation of business needs. Excellent interpersonal skills. Can effectively prioritize available time. Adaptable to changing circumstances. Reliable and punctual. Ability to identify and focus on priority issues. Fair and approachable. Working Conditions This position is Onsite May require occasional off-site meetings Regular use of a computer and other office equipment is necessary Interaction with team members and external contacts is a regular part of the job May require occasional overtime and flexibility in work hours to accommodate the executive's needs Physical Requirements Sitting for extended periods while working on a computer or conducting meetings. Use of hands and fingers for typing, writing, and handling documents. Occasional lifting of objects or materials up to 20 pounds for administrative tasks. Ability to communicate verbally and in writing. Mobility within the office environment to attend meetings or interact with colleagues.
