Job Description

What We Are Looking For The CO2 Source Operations Supervisor leads the McElmo/Doe Canyon CO2 Operation team of 15 direct reports. This position is responsible for producing the McElmo and Doe Canyon CO2 Production Units safely and to its maximum potential by optimizing producing wells, gathering systems, water disposal wells and CO2 compression facilities and coordinating maintenance activities with the CO2 Source maintenance team. What You Will Do Essential duties and responsibilities: Maintain, foster, and support a safe work environment, safe work practices, and environmental stewardship. Understand and comply with local, state, and federal oil & gas regulatory rules. Act as on-site incident commander in emergency situations Prepare, maintain, and execute production operating budgets recognizing key business drivers Provide support and guidance in generating innovative operation methods to measure, predict, and maximize CO2 recovery from the reservoir Collaborate with the maintenance supervisor and maintenance team to maintain safe reliable production facilities Aid in the development of operations staff members Provide input into the execution of operations projects Daily production operations and production accounting management. Support reservoir data collection, reservoir management and material balance processes. Support and provide guidance in production facilities operation and design Provide direction and guidance in field production optimization efforts Coordinate "on call" and work schedules Participate in emergency response roles and training
What You Need Education:
High School Diploma Technical degree or college preferred Experience / specific knowledge: 5 years minimum experience in oil and gas industry. Prior supervisory experience with oil & gas operations Certifications, licenses, registrations: Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record. Competencies, skills, and abilities: Proven track record in managing oil and gas operations in a safe and efficient manner Knowledge of CO2 production operations Excellent communicator with the team, operations, and commercial groups. Able to work in a fast paced environment, frequently under pressure, on multiple tasks. Well-developed interpersonal skills. Experience in Microsoft applications and well versed in making/generating presentations. Must be able to work with a team, take direction from managers, keep required work schedules, focus attention on details Required to carry a company provided cell phone/pager, and be available to respond during working and non-working hours Strong background in safe work practices and active participation in safety program Self-starter and high drive for results Ability to handle multiple tasks Strong communication skills Strong prioritization and planning skills Physical demands: Extended hours during upset conditions Work outside in all weather conditions as needed Occasionally and with or without a reasonable accommodation, lift waist high and carry over 50 lbs.
Working conditions:
Subject to extended hours, callout and holidays Occasional travel outside the assigned geographic is required and anticipated Supervisory responsibility: Oversees a production team consisting of 15 employees on average.
