Position Overview:
Revere Staffing is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor on behalf of one of our manufacturing clients in Farmington, CT. This position is ideal for a hands-on leader with experience in plastics manufacturing, extrusion operations, and color-compounded materials. The Production Supervisor will oversee daily production activities, ensuring safety, quality, productivity, and customer requirements are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and lead production employees in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Monitor production processes and equipment to ensure efficiency, quality, and safety standards are maintained. Troubleshoot equipment and process issues to minimize downtime and maximize productivity. Train, coach, and support employees while enforcing company policies and safety procedures. Coordinate daily production schedules and staffing needs. Ensure products meet customer specifications, including color consistency and material quality requirements. Communicate production performance, concerns, and improvement opportunities to management.
Skills/Qualifications:
Previous supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience in plastics manufacturing, compounding, extrusion, or related production processes. Experience with custom colors, color matching, color concentrates, or color-compounded materials. Knowledge of extrusion equipment, including single-screw and/or twin-screw extrusion systems. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office. Forklift experience is a plus. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
