First Shift Only Location:
Hartford, CT The Role Alliance Used Truck Center is seeking a high-caliber Shop Foreman to lead our daily service operations. This is a pivotal leadership position acting as the primary link between our Technicians, Service Advisors, and the Service Manager. You will be responsible for driving shop efficiency, enforcing elite repair standards, and providing the technical mentorship that defines our Freightliner-certified facility.

Core Responsibilities Workflow Management:
Supervise and coordinate all service technician activities; dispatch repair orders strategically based on skill level, workload, and bay availability.
Quality Assurance:
Inspect completed work for accuracy, safety, and strict adherence to OEM/Manufacturer standards.
Technical Leadership:
Act as the "lead mind" on the floor?assisting with complex diagnostics and troubleshooting to support the tech team.
Operational Efficiency:
Monitor shop productivity, ensuring all labor hours are accurately captured, documented, and billed.
Communication:
Provide real-time updates to Service Advisors regarding job status, technical hurdles, and estimated completion times.
Mentorship:
Coach technicians to develop their skills, track progress toward certifications, and maintain a culture of safety.
Compliance:
Ensure all repairs and documentation meet dealership policies, warranty requirements, and OEM procedures.
Qualifications Experience:
Extensive background as a Lead Technician or Foreman in a heavy-duty truck environment.
Leadership:
Proven ability to manage a diverse team of technicians and balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced shop.
Technical Mastery:
Deep diagnostic knowledge of heavy-duty systems (Freightliner/Detroit experience preferred).
Communication:
Professional verbal and written skills for effective coordination with management and customers.
