Production Manager Harvest Beverage LLC New Haven, CT Job Details Full-time $60,000 - $75,000 a year 1 day ago Qualifications Food production Food processing Food hygiene HACCP Production management Full Job Description Job Overview This position serves as the chief food production manager for the company. The Production Manager ensures that all production employees produce products that are in compliance with food safety and quality standards. The Production Manager also ensures that all production employees complete daily production assignments, and the position works to ensure top quality in food production. This position reports directly to the President of the company. Responsibilities Oversee the hiring and training of food production personnel. Plan weekly production schedules with appropriate staff assigned to tasks. Monitor every aspect of production to ensure compliance with established procedures and standards. Maintain accurate inventory of raw products and processed food products. Ensures that raw products and materials are stored appropriately and safely in proper conditions. Oversees the maintenance and repair of production equipment to ensure smooth work operations. Ensures that food manufacturing staff wear appropriate sanitary and protective gear. Interacts with all food safety inspectors from the FDA, and the State. Works with the food development team to develop new products and develop efficiencies in the food production area. Works closely with the QA Manger. Helps perform duties of QA Manager in absence of related personnel. Examples of Job-Related Tasks Keep daily records of customer orders to compare to previous orders and to estimate and order raw materials for weekly production. Conduct weekly, sometimes daily meetings, with production staff. Ongoing supervision of all production staff. Hiring and orientation of new production staff. Daily ordering of raw materials needed for upcoming production. Participation in new product meetings. Ensures that all company regulations and government legislations are adhered to. Makes daily production decisions regarding product/workflow. Attends conferences and educational seminars to update job knowledge. Education or Experience Preferred Associate degree in food related field and/or 5 plus years in food quality control and production management. Supervisory experience of a large production crew. HACCP course completion. Good computer skills, and the ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines.
Pay:
$60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
