We are seeking an experienced CNC Machine Supervisor to oversee our machining operations, drive production quality, and maintain the high standards our projects demand. This is a hands-on supervisory position. You will be accountable for production output, equipment maintenance, team training, and workplace safety across the CNC machining department. Based in the greater Hartford area, Fabbrica LLC is at the forefront of engineering, design, and manufacturing for the building façade industry. Minimum 10 years of CNC machining experience Minimum 3 years of Supervisory experience(preferably in Machining or Manufacturing) CNC programming and troubleshooting experience required Solid knowledge of machining processes, computers, quality systems, and safety protocols Detail-oriented with strong machine and factory process knowledge Ability to meet deadlines in a production environment Clear verbal communication skills in English, both one-on-one and in small groups. (A bilingual Spanish speaker is a plus.) Comfortable working collaboratively and with minimal supervision Graduate of a CNC course or trade school with CNC machining curriculum (required) High school diploma or equivalent (preferred) What to expect from the role: Coordinate with machining planning to manage priorities in line with project production schedules Standard 1stShift Hours:
7:00 AM - 3:45 PM (Some coordinating and planning for the daily shift may be required at the beginning or end of a shift. Occasional meetings may be held following the shift.) Complimentary Lunch Served Daily by Fabbrica Maintenance Perform and document machining department maintenance metrics; ensure proper upkeep of all machines and equipment Conduct daily (Level 1) and weekly (Level 2) equipment checks Calibrate X, Y, and Z axes per CNC manufacturer recommendations (EMMEGI Procedures) Maintain complete maintenance records, including inspections, repairs, and parts replaced Coordinate with manufacturers to schedule servicing and minimize downtime Resolve routine day-to-day maintenance issues Safety & quality Conduct regular safety inspections; identify unsafe conditions or near-misses and take corrective action Initiate safety assessments when deviations from standard practice are identified Instruct team members on the proper use, maintenance, and storage of tools and equipment Monitor and document department safety performance for management review Maintain housekeeping standards and a clean, safe work environment Ensure safety equipment (eyewash stations, etc.) remains clean and operational Training & development Train new hires on CNC equipment; provide detailed instruction and close oversight during onboarding Develop operators to conduct first-article inspections and tool inspections within 6 months Ensure programs, trays/tools, and material bars are available and ready before each shift Attend daily production meetings; surface scheduling issues, material requirements, and coordinate with the material handling team Confirm all machines are correctly set up, and all operators follow the correct production sequence before each shift Run first-article machining for each new program; identify issues and resolve or escalate to management as needed Manage CNC trays/magazines, tool lengths/types, and dimensions per the programmer's pre-setting setup sheet Monitor tooling condition (sharpness, runout, balance) and arrange replacements to maintain quality output Review production performance metrics and take corrective action within project budgets Complete required SAP system confirmations for machining targets and output documentation What you can expect fromFabbrica:
