Job Description

Job Summary Our client is a top Industrial Contractor located near the Greater Dover, DE area. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Structural Steel Foreman to lead and oversee the installation, fabrication, and erection of structural steel components on construction sites.
Projects consist of:
Industrial/Commercial 1-3 story buildings, average project $500,000 - $1 million. No highrises, home for dinner every night. This pivotal role involves supervising teams, ensuring safety compliance, maintaining quality standards, and coordinating with project managers to meet project timelines. The ideal candidate will possess extensive construction site experience, strong management skills, and proficiency with construction management software to drive project success efficiently and safely. \•Compensation ranges from $85,000 up to $110,000 base salary to start (based on experience), up to $10,000 performance bonus-first year , family medical coverage , car/truck, phone, laptop, gas card, company credit card. Responsibilities Lead and supervise the installation and erection of structural steel elements, ensuring adherence to project plans, schematics, and safety protocols. Coordinate daily activities on-site with subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately to guide installation processes. Enforce OSHA safety standards and conduct regular safety meetings to promote a safe working environment. Manage on-site quality control inspections, ensuring compliance with design specifications and industry standards. Oversee budgeting, resource allocation, and procurement activities related to structural steel components. Utilize construction management software like ProCore, Bluebeam is a plus Conduct routine inspections with tools such as ohmmeters for electrical components or other relevant testing devices. Supervise a team of workers, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations to foster a productive work environment. Skills Proven experience in construction management with a focus on structural steel projects. Strong supervisory skills with the ability to manage multiple teams effectively. Proficiency in construction management software including ProCore, Bluebeam or equivalent tools. Excellent blueprint reading and schematic interpretation skills. Knowledge of construction estimating techniques and budgeting processes a plus. Familiarity with contracts administration and project scheduling methodologies. Ability to read technical schematics and use testing equipment such as ohmmeters for quality assurance. Comprehensive understanding of OSHA regulations and safety practices specific to heavy construction sites. Experience in managing construction projects from inception through completion while maintaining quality standards.
