FHP Manufacturing is a leader in the production of geothermal and water source heat pumps, providing some of the most efficient heating and cooling comfort solutions in the industry. Job Description We are seeking a hands-on and detail-oriented Assembly Team Lead to support and coordinate daily operations of our Assembly Line during the first shift. Reporting to the Area Supervisor, you will lead a team of associates, ensure adherence to quality standards, and maintain efficiency across processes. Your expertise will play a key role in training new team members and maintaining operational excellence through lean manufacturing principles.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the Area Supervisor to manage and prioritize daily assembly line activities. Be proficient in all departmental processes; act as a trainer and mentor for new hires and cross-training initiatives. Implement and promote BPS (Business Process Standards) principles for continuous improvement and process optimization. Ensure timely delivery of components and finished units to meet production schedules. Read and interpret work instructions, product drawings, and special handling sheets (SHS). Use manual/power tools and measuring devices to assemble appliances and perform functional tests. Inspect finished products for quality, identify defects, and manage non-conforming materials appropriately. Rework units as needed to meet quality standards. Support a safe and organized work environment through adherence to best practices in material handling
Qualifications Required:
High School Diploma or equivalent. Manufacturing experience in assembly and/or CNC machine operation preferred. Must be able to coordinate tasks of others (10-15 people). Must be able to speak, read, and write English. Must be able to work overtime when requested. Must be flexible to work in other departments when requested. Ability to read and apply work instructions, follow directions, understand and execute safety and quality procedures Additional Information All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
