In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing the structural aspects of Fabrication and Assembly of projects, ensuring that all work adheres to design specifications, safety standards, and project timelines. Your expertise will drive the successful execution of complex infrastructure and building projects, contributing to the creation of durable, safe, and efficient structures. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead structural activities from planning through completion while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver excellence. Responsibilities Lead the planning, coordination, and supervision of structural fabrication and assembly activities on-site and in the office. Review and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate implementation of design intent. Conduct site inspections regularly to monitor progress, safety compliance (OSHA standards), and adherence to specifications. Oversee the procurement and management of materials pertaining to structural fabrication and assembly, such as metal plate, pipe, and fixtures. Implement quality assurance procedures by inspecting work with tools such as weld gauges and ensuring all work meets industry codes and client expectations. Collaborate with project managers on contract negotiations, change orders, and risk management strategies related to structural components. Maintain comprehensive documentation including progress reports, safety logs, inspection records, and project schedules. Skills Extensive experience in the Ship Repair Industry. Commercial, Naval, and Private. Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and construction estimating techniques. Proven ability in managing large-scale construction projects with supervising experience in a fast-paced environment. Excellent understanding of OSHA safety regulations and best practices for construction site safety. Skilled in project scheduling, budgeting, resource allocation, and contract management. Hands-on experience with construction site supervision—reading plans on-site, overseeing crews, conducting quality control checks. Effective management skills with a focus on team leadership, communication clarity, problem-solving abilities, and client relations.
