SUMMARY:
The Production Supervisor leads the Household/Fizzion department in the safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacture of tablet-based products. This role balances hands-on technical support with strategic oversight of personnel, equipment uptime, and regulatory compliance to ensure zero backorders and continuous process improvement.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Operational Oversight & Planning Directly manages the departmental workflow by executing and monitoring schedules within the ERP system. Collaborates with management and customer service to develop and refine production forecasting models. Coordinates with the warehouse and purchasing departments to ensure raw material availability for all scheduled production runs. Maintains product masters within the ERP system to ensure data integrity and production accuracy. Technical Execution & Production Support Maintains a hands-on presence in day-to-day operations to provide immediate problem-solving and technical guidance to the team. Oversees the blending, mixing, and batching of chemicals for Fizzion and auxiliary product lines. Directs the setup of filling lines, steam tunnels, and specialized equipment to ensure optimal production output. Ensures all final products are packaged according to standards and delivered to the warehouse on time to prevent backorders. Maintains personal and departmental proficiency in forklift and warehouse equipment operation. Quality, Compliance & Safety Enforces strict adherence to Kegel's Quality Policy, Safety Policy, and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Drives continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality enhancement, process flow, and facility housekeeping. Monitors production environments to ensure all work is performed in compliance with health and safety regulations. Performance Management & Reporting Tracks and analyzes employee performance metrics, specifically targeting a minimum of 80% labor utilization in the ERP and 100% productivity. Prepares comprehensive customer delivery reports by analyzing production trends to proactively communicate potential delays. Contributes to the preparation of the annual departmental budget and performs regular variance analysis to meet financial objectives. Performs other related duties as assigned by leadership to support evolving business needs.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Directly supervises all employees within Fizzion Production. Fulfills supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Manages employees' times off and approves payroll every Monday. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; evaluation of performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems . Utilizes established management frameworks to coach and develop production staff, ensuring team members meet or exceed departmental KPIs including labor utilization and productivity targets.QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year College or university; or three to 6 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Has a great understanding in process and flow of materials. Experience in Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP). Demonstrated leadership experience with a high-functioning, fast-paced team. Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Ability to effectively communicate, present information and respond to questions both verbal and written. Experience with International shipping processes, forms, and best practices. Strong attention to detail and ability to work quickly while maintaining a high priority to the safety of our workforce.Other skills required:
Preferred to have a Forklift License or able to obtain one within 90 days. Experienced using pallets jacks and other warehouse equipment. Read and write English. Ability to identify information by categorizing, estimating, recognizing differences or similarities, and detecting changes in circumstances or events. Analyzes information and evaluates results to choose the best solution and solve problems pertaining to the shipment of a product. Solid understanding of health and safety regulations.COMPUTER SKILLS REQUIRED
Working knowledge of computer programs for entering data Knowledge of computerized inventory control system Working knowledge of shipping software and other related warehouse software. Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, or similar computer software systems.
