$69,000 - $85,000 depending on relevant experience and qualifications MITER Brands™ is a residential window and door manufacturer that provides a leading portfolio of window and door brands for the new construction and replacement segments. MITER Brands, also known as Milgard, MI Windows & Doors and PGTI is one of the nation's largest suppliers of vinyl windows and patio doors, with plants across the country. This position will be supervising the 2nd shift that runs Monday through Friday from 5:00pm - 1:30am. Flexibility to work overtime & Saturday as needed to meet the needs of the business is required. Safety, Integrity, Efficiency, and Creativity Schedules and directs team members within the production line ensuring clear understanding of task expectations in safety, quality, and productivity Provides team member feedback in the form of recognition for positive performance, coaching and counseling for performance opportunities, and development opportunities for team member growth Cross trains and rotates team members consistent with internal performance compensation structure Provides leadership in sustaining defined processes and resolving issues Maintains time and production records daily Ensures the overall integrity of work produced by the line Develops, recommends, and implements measures to improve manufacturing methods, equipment performance, and quality of product Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of department Prepares and presents training materials, and communications to team regarding safety, quality, production, 5S, and other key performance measures Maintains the overall safety of employees in the assigned work area by reporting all hazards/issues, leading and participating in incident investigations and follow-up, ergonomic and hazard assessments etc. Administers Company policies in a fair and consistent manner Encourages suggestions from employees, which will improve safety, quality, productivity, and operating cost Maintains consistent communications and regular department meetings Performs other duties as required Qualifications College degree preferred Our ideal candidate will have three-plus years in a manufacturing leadership role with previous multi-line responsibility To support our Continuous Improvement culture, we are looking for a strong background in LEAN process improvement principles, and process management experience Experience improving operations (Units Per Employee Hour, reduced costs, etc.) Proficiency in the MS Office Suite Must be an effective communicator, capable of teaching and generating results while enhancing the work environment and supporting the company philosophy What We Offer At MITER Brands, we invest in your health, wealth, and wellness.
