Adecco is hiring a
  • Production Supervisor
  • in the Orlando Area.
Supervises:
All Press Room Employees (excluding Quality and Shipping personnel) Responsible for leading and directing daily press room operations to ensure the safe, efficient, and timely production of quality products. Provides leadership, employee development and performance management while ensuring production schedules, quality standards, safety requirements, and company objectives are achieved. Promotes continual improvement initiatives, workforce development, and compliance with all company policies and procedures.
  • KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • The following functions are considered essential to this position: 1.
Direct and coordinate daily press room operations to ensure production schedules, quality standards, and customer delivery requirements are achieved. 2. Exercise direct supervision over press room employees and provide leadership to achieve departmental objectives. 3. Schedule and assign work to operators, setup personnel, and lead personnel to maximize productivity and workflow efficiency. 4. Monitor, review, and analyze production performance and key performance indicators (KPIs), including productivity, efficiency, downtime, scrap, labor utilization, safety performance, and Parts Per Hour (PPH); develop and implement action plans to improve results. 5. Plan staffing levels, labor resources, and overtime requirements to support production schedules and customer delivery commitments. 6. Promptly identify, investigate, and resolve issues affecting safety, quality, productivity, equipment performance, or employee performance, customer concerns, and operational efficiency through corrective action and continual improvement initiatives. 7. Supervise, coach, mentor, train and develop employees through onboarding, cross-training, competency verification, skills assessment, succession planning, apprenticeship programs, and ongoing workforce development initiatives. 8. Manage employee performance, attendance, disciplinary actions, counseling, recognition, investigations, and employee relations matters in partnership with Human Resources and in accordance with company policies and applicable employment laws. 9. Foster a positive and respectful work environment by addressing employee concerns and conflicts, providing constructive feedback, recognizing accomplishments, and promoting employee engagement, accountability, teamwork, and continual improvement. 10. Conduct daily production meetings and communicate department goals, production priorities, quality expectations, safety concerns, staffing needs, and performance metrics. 11. Monitor attendance, staffing levels, and workforce availability; coordinate employee coverage and overtime requirements to ensure production objectives are achieved. 12. Coordinate with Scheduling, Quality, Maintenance, Shipping, Tool Room, and Plant Management to resolve production issues and support operational goals. 13. Monitor product quality throughout production, ensuring compliance with customer requirements, blueprints, inspection criteria, and internal quality standards. 14. Promote and support Lean Manufacturing, 6S, process improvement, waste reduction, and continual improvement initiatives throughout the department. 15. Ensure machinery, equipment, tooling, and work areas are maintained in safe operating condition and communicate maintenance needs promptly. 16. Complete and maintain all required documentation including production reports, employee reviews, attendance records, training records, injury reports, corrective actions, and other operational documentation. 17. Maintain confidentiality of employee, company, customer, and business information. 18. Support a safe work environment by maintaining compliance with safety procedures, housekeeping standards, and company policies. 19. Performs other duties as assigned to support efficient press room operations.
IV. QUALIFICATIONS 1.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Associate degree in Manufacturing, Business Management, Engineering Technology, Industrial Management, or related field preferred. 2.
Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in metal stamping, fabrication, welding, assembly, or related industrial manufacturing operations.
  • Experience implementing Lean Manufacturing, 6S, or continual improvement initiatives preferred.

Knowledge & Skills:
  • Strong leadership, employee development, coaching and performance management skills.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, continual improvement, and waste reduction principles.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, production schedules, and manufacturing documentation.
  • Working knowledge of GD&T and quality inspection methods.
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, organizational, conflict resolution and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of workplace safety regulations and manufacturing best practices.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment in employee relations matters.
4.
Technical:
  • Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, ERP systems, and electronic reporting systems.
  • Ability to analyze production data, performance metrics, and operational reports.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes including stamping presses, fabrication equipment, welding fixtures, and related production machinery.
  • Ability to use precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, height gages, protractors, and related inspection equipment.
