Job Description
Shop Foreman - Welding & Fabrication We are seeking an experienced Shop Foreman to lead our welding and fabrication operations. This is a hands-on leadership role for a motivated individual with strong fabrication knowledge, leadership ability, and a commitment to quality, safety, and productivity. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in metal fabrication, welding, shop operations, employee management, and equipment maintenance. Position Requirements Required Experience & Skills Minimum of 5 years of leadership/supervisory experience Minimum of 10 years of fabrication experience Ability to read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings Expert-level MIG and TIG welding experience on: Aluminum Mild steel Stainless steel Thin gauge stainless steel Experience with: Press brake operation Metal forming Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting background Ability to diagnose, repair, and maintain shop equipment Strong understanding of shop safety standards and enforcement Responsibilities Supervise and direct daily operations of 8-12 fabrication and welding employees Train, mentor, and assist fabricators and welders Ensure all work is completed to company quality standards Enforce safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment Manage material flow and part inventory Coordinate equipment maintenance and repairs Conduct employee evaluations and monitor productivity Hire and terminate employees as necessary Ensure employees follow company procedures and standards Conduct weekly and monthly planning meetings with management Coordinate workflow, scheduling, and project priorities Oversee quality control, project tracking, and documentation Preferred (Not Required) Skills Experience with the following is considered a strong plus: SolidWorks CNC laser table operation CNC plasma cutter operation Milling machines Hydraulic shears Building Stairs and Railings AWS Certification What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience Full-time stable employment Professional team environment Apply Today If you are a skilled fabrication leader looking for a long-term opportunity with a growing company, we want to hear from you.
