The Production supervisor is responsible for overseeing the production of goods with the goal of providing our customer with a quality, cost competitive, environmentally friendly product in a safe and timely manner. Areas of responsibility will include chip handling, energy plant, refining, drying, pressing, board trimming and coating operations. This is a 24/7 continuous operation and will require an openness to shift work with rotating days off. 12 Hour continental shift, rotating from days to nights required. The production supervisor is responsible for safety production, equipment, and his employees whilst on the designated shift. Specific responsibilities will vary as the need arises, but include supporting, monitoring and improving production and quality. Shift supervisor also must drive a high level of positive culture , liaising with other team members, including interacting with managers and supervisors of different areas of the organization, presenting findings to management and owners as well as training, supervising and mentoring other team members. Description Ensuring the safety of the workforce. Supervising production safety, quality, and delivery Supervising hourly workforce to meet facility objectives. Development of operational process and procedure. Development of an employee-oriented company culture that emphasizes quality, continuous improvement, and high performance. Contribute towards the achievement of company's strategic and operational objectives. Researching modern technologies and alternative methods of efficiency. Perform quality controls and monitor production requirements. Other duties as assigned.

Strong understanding of the manufacturing process, and continuous improvement activities. Lean Manufacturing experience and background certification is a plus. Excellent communication, leadership, and planning skills. Proficient in Microsoft Suite. Experience managing in a non-union environment preferred. Experience in MDF/HDF operations desirable. Experience in a multi-opening press door skin facility preferred. Ability to work a rotating shift (swing shifts) in a 24/7 continuous operation.
