Job Description

Job Title:
Manufacturing Supervisor Job Summary:
The Manufacturing Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily production operations, ensuring that manufacturing processes run efficiently, safely, and in alignment with quality standards. This role leads a team of production employees, drives continuous improvement, and ensures production targets are met while maintaining a strong focus on safety and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate daily manufacturing activities to meet production schedules and targets Lead, coach, and develop production team members to improve performance and engagement Monitor workflow, staffing, and equipment to ensure optimal efficiency and minimal downtime Enforce safety policies and procedures, promoting a safe working environment Ensure product quality standards are consistently met and address any production issues promptly Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Quality, Maintenance, and Engineering Analyze production data and implement process improvements to increase productivity and reduce waste Manage employee attendance, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions as needed Support implementation of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience) 3-7+ years of manufacturing experience, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or leadership role Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, safety standards, and quality systems Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies preferred Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to work in a fast-paced, production-driven environment
Working Conditions:
Manufacturing/plant floor environment May require standing for extended periods and working flexible shifts, including evenings or weekends
