SUMMARY OF POSITION
Responsible for shift production operations. Maintains a safe environment in which employees can perform their jobs as required. Coach, train and instruct employees on how to consistently produce a quality product, while eliminating waste. Monitor performances based on expectations. Relay information daily to Production Manager and other supervisors.
SHIFT SCHEDULE 5
30 am to end of production.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Oversees assigned processing activities, keeping consistent with our quality standards, federal and state regulations. Also responsible for maintaining and meeting the criteria set by customers and FPL Food in relationship to our current GMP and HACCP standards. Facilitates,develops, and evaluates employees in assigned areas to make sure that our standard operating procedures are being followed in a safe and consistent manner. Trains and coaches employees as needed. Maintains manpower documentation including assuring time and attendance is kept up to date daily. Maintains the consistent flow of processing raw materials to produce maximum efficiency, quality, and output. Investigate and monitor production problems to help reduce and/or eliminate waste. Responsible for making sure that all employees adhere to plant policies, procedures, work rules, and safety standards. Keep lines of communication open with the Human Resource Department concerning policies to ensure guidelines are being met. Responsible for maintaining a clean, safe environment for all employees and for working closely with the Safety Department to help audit and eliminate any unsafe hazards in the work area. Leads or participates in process improvement through the use of Six Sigma and project management as needed. Education Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent (GED) Associates or Bachelor's degree in Operations, Manufacturing, Business Management, Food Science Experience Some previous supervisory and/or production background in a high speed/high volume manufacturing environment. Recognized leadership ability and strong interpersonal skills. 2.Excellent communication, written and oral, and customer service relationship skills 3.Working knowledge of environmental and safety regulations Travel Requirements Up to 10% travel
