Summary:
The Night Shift Production Supervisor is responsible for leading daily manufacturing operations to ensure safety, quality, and productivity standards are consistently achieved. This role focuses on optimizing production performance, controlling labor costs, and minimizing downtime through effective troubleshooting and adherence to operational benchmarks. It plays a critical role in developing, coaching, and motivating employees while enforcing company policies, GMPs, and compliance standards. Success in this role is driven by strong communication, team leadership, and a continuous improvement mindset to deliver reliable and efficient production outcomes.
Your Mission:
Supervise daily operations to ensure safety, quality, and productivity targets are met Drive production efficiency while partnering with the Production Manager to control labor costs Ensure compliance with established run speeds and setup times Identify and resolve mechanical, operational, and technical downtime issues Support continuous improvement initiatives and on-the-job assignments Communicate clear expectations and provide direction to employees on shift Monitor quality by reviewing and initialing checklists during startup and production runs Supervise a team of approximately 25 employees across production, printing, maintenance, and shipping Oversee and coordinate cross-functional operations to support overall plant performance Maintain accurate logs, reports, and ensure adherence to safety policies and procedures Provide shift production updates and escalate performance issues to leadership Train, coach, mentor, and develop employees to improve performance and engagement Conduct performance evaluations and address employee performance concerns Enforce company policies, GMPs, and quality standards; document and address non-compliance Foster a positive, collaborative, and accountable team environment Manage staffing needs, attendance, and approve daily timekeeping records Participate in meetings and contribute to operational planning and continuous improvement efforts
Your Profile:
3 years supervisory or leadership experience is preferred. A Bachelor's degree is preferred, or equivalent and applicable work-related experience Work a 12-hour night shift (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) on a rotating 3-2 schedule Previous experience with Lean, Six Sigma or other relevant continuous improvement methods preferred Industrial Safety and/or Technical Training preferred
