Position Summary The Manufacturing Production Supervisor is responsible for leading and supervising production associates during the 3rd shift to achieve high levels of first-quality output, productivity, and safety. This role ensures that production standards are met or exceeded while maintaining a safe, efficient, and team-oriented work environment. The supervisor works closely with the Production Manager to address production issues, staffing needs, and continuous improvement opportunities. Key Responsibilities Supervise and support production associates to meet quality, efficiency, and production goals
Ensure all safety procedures are followed; identify, correct, and report unsafe behaviors or equipment
Maintain clear communication with the Production Manager regarding shift performance, issues, and opportunities
Operate and oversee the tufting area to ensure production meets or exceeds established department standards
Provide coaching, training, guidance, and performance feedback to assigned associates
Maintain accurate documentation, including attendance records, time sheets, and performance-related records
Assist with problem-solving related to quality, downtime, staffing, or workflow challenges
Promote teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement across the shift Shift Schedule • Primarily Straight 3rd Shift
• May include rotating or coverage on 1st shift as business needs require Required Skills & Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of people-management experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to lead, motivate, and hold associates accountable
Basic computer skills (timekeeping systems, email, and production reporting)
Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Strong focus on safety, quality, and productivity Preferred Qualifications Experience in a tufting or textile manufacturing environment
Prior 3rd shift supervisory or lead experience
Familiarity with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement practicesPhysical & Work Environment Requirements Ability to work extended periods on the production floor
Ability to respond to fast-moving production issues during overnight hours
