The Manager
- Production is responsible for leading the supervisory and hourly associates in the production department across multiple shifts who are responsible for the daily production of high-quality beverages in a safe and efficient manner by collaborating with different functions within the facility.
What your day will look like: Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the UNITED policies and applicable laws
Interview, hire, and train associates
Plan, assign, and direct work
Appraise performance
Address complaints and resolve problems
Builds positive associate morale
Directs leadership for bottling/canning lines in the production of scheduled manufacturing quotas through identification and remediation of efficiency issues. Supervises subordinates involved in the same across the production department
Administers and applies all International Organization for Standardization ISO22000, Hazardous Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP), Safety, Environmental and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) requirements through the department, ensuring proper documentation and action plan follow-up.
Facilitates production department staff meetings, generating action plans impacting production department Key Performance Indicators (KPI's). Presents departmental metrics and action plans in plant management staff meetings
Establishes and maintains goals in the areas of quality, waste efficiency and safety for all operations teams
Actively coaches all team members promoting continuous improvement and overall team development and cross training, including the supervisory level
Performs appropriate duties as assigned by management What you need to succeed: Minimum age 18 years old
Valid driver's license required and obligation to maintain compliance with UNITED fleet policy
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by position and compliance with UNITED safety policies
Regular and prompt attendance is an essential function of the job

Strong leadership and organizational skills Proven ability to coach and manage needs and concerns of multiple associates
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university; or 3 to 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Three (3) to five (5) years' experience in a manufacturing leadership capacity, preferably in a soft drink. Proficient knowledge in the operation of continuous motion packaging, filling, and palletizing equipment
Hazardous Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP)/ International Organization for Standardization (ISO) training or certification preferred. Willingness to work weekends, holidays, or flexible schedule as required
Effective problem solving, communication, time management and problem-solving skills
Effective ability to manage projects Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word) experience Physical Requirements
Position will be required to comply with the CCBCU Personal Protective Equipment Program. Position is required to wear safety toed shoes when performing the following tasks: Operating Powered Industrial Equipment or Working in an Area where Powered Industrial Equipment is in use, Fleet Maintenance, Working with Palletized Product, Use of Hand Trucks/Dollies to Deliver Product, Cooler Services, etc.
