Full Job Description SUMMARY:

This position works closely with the Structural Supervisor and facilitates production in our Structural Steel Fabrication Shop (Machine Operators, Fabricators, Welders and Laborers). Actively leading our Quality Management Program to ensure our employees adhere to quality standards. Daily responsibilities include maximizing production, minimizing cost, managing personnel, advanced information flow, promoting safety and assure a top-quality end product. Responsible for acting in accordance with the policies set forth in the Gem City Steel Employee Handbook.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage and Train department employees. Performs quality checks on both in process and completed work in Tekla PowerFab Manage Process Efficiency & Resources. Manage Information Flow. Control Expenses. Quality & Safety. Other duties may be assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

EXPERIENCE

Working experience with Tekla PowerFab software. Five or more years' experience in shop floor production, specifically with structural steel. A proven track record of a minimum five years or more experience as foreman or supervisor. Must have high level experience with interpreting structural steel drawings and details. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Experience with CNC and manual machine operation. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Previous experience or high ability to learn CNC machine operation (PythonX).

Pay:

$35.00 - $40.00 per hour
