Scope:
As the Mica Pigment Production Supervisor at
SUSONITY
LLC's Savannah Facility, you will be part of a motivated team producing innovative effect pigments for automotive coatings, cosmetics, plastics, printing, as well as food and pharmaceuticals.
Responsibilities:
Manufacturing materials to ensure quality, deliver planned quantities, manage inventory, and cost control; while maintaining high standards for housekeeping, safety, and environmental compliance. The supervisor will actively support, promote, and sustain an interdependent culture in safety and quality. The supervisor will support operational excellence through continuous improvement which includes CAPEX scoping and support of implementation, Best Practice Sharing, and participation in projects. The supervisor is responsible for their area's key performance indicators and delegation of authority to direct reports to achieve the KPIs.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED equivalent. Bachelor's degree in chemistry or related field, preferred. 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment. 2 years in a leadership or supervisory capacity. Demonstrated safety knowledge including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and proper use of PPE. Proficient in the use of typical computer hardware and software. Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint software. CPR and First Aid certification. Exposure to Lean & Six Sigma and ISO certification. Experience in a chemical manufacturing environment. Experience in SAP or ERP-related software.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to work in a manufacturing plant which may include loud noise, extreme hot/cold temps. Ability to wear PPE as required. Ability to sit, stand for periods of time. Ability to operate office technology and programs.
salary:
