: The second shift foundry supervisor will lead a skilled manufacturing team of over 30 staff members. The role involves organizing resources and processes to meet daily and weekly targets while focusing on directing, rewarding, disciplining, training, and supporting team members on the factory floor.RESPONSIBILITIES
Safety and Quality Leadership:
Upholding a clean and safe work environment. Collaborating with the maintenance team on equipment breakdowns and repairs.Team Leadership and Development:
Supporting manufacturing staff in achieving goals through clear communication and performance evaluation. Promoting personal growth opportunities for employees and resolving disputes among manufacturing staff.Decision-Making and Initiative:
Identifying and addressing process bottlenecks. Analyze production records for continuous improvement and follow up on improvement projects.Planning and Coordination:
Enforcing company policies and ensuring adherence to production schedules. Maintaining professional schedules and assisting other departments as needed.Inventory and Asset Management:
Evaluating production equipment conditions.Training and Communication:
Developing and delivering training programs for both classroom and shop floor settings.Supervision and Delegation:
Counseling employees for optimal workflow and implementing cost-saving strategies. Flexibility to work various shifts and perform additional duties as management assigns.QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, six years of relevant foundry supervisory experience and/or training, or a combination of both. Skills & Qualifications Proven supervisory experience with strong problem-solving and process standardization skills. Excellent coaching and communication abilities. Proficiency in navigating SAP and Microsoft tools. Comprehensive understanding of production planning processes. Strong strategic planning capabilities. Ability to address complex issues across multiple departments.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
