This role oversees multiple production lines or departments, ensures effective staffing and resource allocation, and drives continuous improvement. The Production Supervisor provides leadership, coaching, and technical direction to production staff while partnering cross-functionally to optimize performance and maintain high operational standards. First Shift (7:00 AM-3:30PM) Responsibilities To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation, and perform other duties as assigned. Lead production team in fast-paced, high-speed environment with a focus on safety, clear communication, accountability, and adherence to SOPs. Oversee production operations across lines or departments by assigning responsibilities, ensuring coverage, and adjusting staffing to control labor costs and meet production demands. Proactively address employee relations matters, including conflict resolution and performance management, to maintain a high-performing team environment. Collaborate with Supply Chain, Quality, Maintenance, and Warehouse teams to coordinate production schedules, changeovers, sanitation, and material flow. Track production performance metrics, including output, quality, scrap, downtime, and labor efficiency as required - electronically and/or written format; suggest solutions/process improvements. Ensure visual quality checks are made by team to verify cans/bottles, labels, cartons, trays are appropriately assembled and displayed, and process adjustments are made as needed; sign off on all perceived quality paperwork as required; minimize scrap and rework. Minimize product loss, scrap, and rework by identifying inefficiencies and implementing corrective actions. Troubleshoot mechanical issues, perceived quality (cans/bottles, labels, cartons, etc.), and process issues; escalate to management when necessary. Ensure all pallets leaving the production area are identified by labels on the boxes or a sleeve with part number and quantity listed. Lead problem-solving and continuous improvement efforts, addressing bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and quality issues. Report problems or issues impacting production or quality to appropriate members of management; troubleshoot and provide solutions when possible. Schedule routine maintenance to keep equipment running effectively for minimal downtime and maintaining quality standards. Ensure production floor safety and cleanliness; no debris left on the floor at the end of the day, garbage and recycling emptied as needed. Meet all Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Safe Quality Food (SQF) requirements; participate in food safety meetings as required. Cultivate and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulations; identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions; lead and/or participate in safety meetings as required.

This job description is not exhaustive and may evolve over time. Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade school preferred. Five (5) years of experience in a manufacturing (food and beverage industry preferred) environment or combination of education and experience preferred. Three (3) years of supervisory or leadership experience. Experience working within GMP, SQF, HACCP, or other food safety/quality systems. Strong leadership, communication, and team development skills. Ability to perform advanced math focused on counting, measuring, recording and interpreting production data; analyzing and interpreting production metrics to monitor performance, identify gaps, and drive operational improvements across the production line. Solid mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, customer-driven environment. Proficiency in production reporting systems and documentation. Ability to respond to production issues in a timely manner. Well-organized and skilled in time management, prioritization, scheduling, and meeting deadlines. Ability to learn and adapt to changing priorities. Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) preferred. Work Expectations This is a regular, full-time position with daily hours on site. The ability to be available for work daily and extended hours as necessary. Work is performed in a warehouse environment, manufacturing plant and occasionally outside in what may be adverse weather conditions. The work environment can involve exposure to heat, cold, humidity, moving machinery, noise, visual strain, close quarters, fumes, odors, dust mists, and gases. Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and listen. This position requires long periods of sitting, standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing and operating machinery. The employee should be able to lift and/or move items up to 50+ pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
