This role ensures team members are skilled in producing high-quality cabinetry while maintaining efficiency, safety, and craftsmanship standards. Key Responsibilities Training & Development
  • Conduct onboarding training for new hires in cabinet production.
Provide hands-on instruction in woodworking techniques, including cutting, assembling, sanding, finishing, and hardware installation. Train employees on blueprint reading and cabinet layout interpretation. Demonstrate proper use of woodworking machinery (panel saws, edge banders, drill presses, sanders). Teach proper material handling for plywood, hardwood, laminates, and veneers. Cross-train employees across different production stations. Safety & Compliance
  • Train staff on shop safety procedures and PPE usage. Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and company safety policies. Promote safe handling of tools, adhesives, stains, and finishing chemicals. Conduct refresher safety training as needed. Quality & Process Improvement
  • Train employees on quality control standards for cabinetry (alignment, finishing consistency, structural integrity). Monitor work output and provide corrective coaching. Reduce production errors, waste, and rework. Support Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives. Performance & Documentation
  • Evaluate trainee performance and skill progression. Maintain accurate training records and certifications. Work closely with production supervisors to identify skill gaps. Recommend process improvements and updated training materials. Required Qualifications
  • 1 or 2 years of hands-on experience in cabinet manufacturing or woodworking production. Strong knowledge of woodworking tools and production machinery. Strong understanding of production flow and shop organization. Ability to communicate clearly and train employees with varying skill levels. Preferred Skills
  • Experience with cabinet manufacturing. Good Attitude Good attendance Working Conditions
  • Workshop/manufacturing environment. Exposure to wood dust, noise, adhesives, and finishing chemicals. Standing for extended periods. Lifting materials up to 50 lbs. May require overtime during peak production periods. Performance Metrics
  • Reduced rework and material waste.

Pay:
$20.00 - $22.00 per hour
