Job Description

As a Production Lead, you are responsible for overseeing the day-to-day functions of your assigned department by providing guidance and direction. This includes but is not limited to exceeding and enforcing safety initiatives, quality initiatives, and implementing initiatives that improve employee morale.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS POSITION
  • Oversees the day-to-day functions of their assigned department by providing guidance and direction.
  • Educate and enforce employees on the codes of conduct as outlined in our company policy handbook.
  • Effectively communicate with the hourly employees, in addition to, the supervisors that are assigned by the leadership team.
  • Assist in development and optimization of the manufacturing processes.
  • Take personal responsibility for personal growth including acquiring new skills, knowledge, and information.
  • Ability to lead personnel and hold others accountable while maintaining professionalism.
  • Ability to learn, understand and teach the extrusion and converting processes in your plant.
  • Identify issues, problems, and solutions in areas of safety, quality, and production.
  • And any other duties needed to help drive to our Vision, fulfill our Mission, and abide by our Organization's Values.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
  • HS education with 2 years of experience in a manufacturing atmosphere or possess a 2- or 4-year degree in related field minimum.
  • Ability to use logic and reason to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, and to manage one's own time and the time of others.
  • Ability to work effectively and independently on plant operations and projects as a member or leader of a team.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
