Job Description

Position Overview The Team Lead is a working position responsible for the day-to-day coordination and support of team members across various departments within the plant. This role focuses heavily on ensuring operational efficiency, adherence to production schedules, and accurate completion of critical safety and production documentation in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The Team Lead reports directly to the Plant Manager. Key ResponsibilitiesTeam Leadership and Coordination Lead and motivate team members across assigned departments to achieve daily production targets and quality standards. Serve as the primary point of contact for team members, addressing immediate concerns, providing direction, and escalating issues to the Plant Manager as necessary. Foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment. Facilitate on-the-job training and mentoring for new and existing team members. Operational and Production Management Actively work alongside team members in a production capacity, setting an example for work ethic and adherence to procedures. Monitor production flow and actively track departmental progress against daily and weekly schedules, taking proactive steps to address potential delays. Ensure all team members are keeping on schedule and maximizing efficiency without compromising quality or safety. Utilize previous forklift experience to assist with material handling, loading, and unloading as required to maintain production flow. Documentation and Compliance Oversee and ensure the timely and accurate completion of all required daily safety and production paperwork (e.g., pre-shift checks, production logs, quality control sheets). Conduct routine checks to verify the accuracy and completeness of team documentation. Maintain organized records for departmental performance and compliance. Safety and Quality Assurance Promote and enforce a strong safety culture, ensuring team members adhere to all company safety policies and procedures. Identify potential safety hazards and report them immediately to the Plant Manager. Assist in maintaining high standards of product quality throughout the production process. QualificationsRequired Experience Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment. Proven previous experience leading or supervising team members is a must. Demonstrated proficiency and current certification (or ability to obtain) in operating a forklift. Skills and Attributes Ability to thrive and work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Strong organizational and time management skills with a focus on meeting deadlines. Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to problem-solve and make quick, informed decisions. Demonstrated commitment to safety and quality excellence.
