Full Job Description Description:
JTM Foods, LLC is seeking a hands-on, motivated Production Supervisor to join our Chicago bakery team. This role is responsible for managing daily production activities to ensure compliance with company operating standards, quality, and safety expectations. The ideal candidate will lead by example, maintaining a positive team environment and upholding JTM's commitment to product quality, safety, and integrity. Shifts Needed:
5pm-5am
Salary:
75k+ (based on experience) Key Responsibilities Oversee daily production operations and ensure adherence to company standards and operating procedures. Supervise production lines and shift personnel to meet production schedules and output goals. Assist with staffing, training, and scheduling of production team members. Ensure compliance with GMPs, food safety, and corporate safety programs. Maintain standard formulas and production operating procedures. Conduct or assist with required safety meetings for shift employees. Ensure equipment is properly maintained and operated according to GMP practices. Partner with engineering and sanitation teams for maintenance and facility upkeep. Complete and maintain all process and compliance documentation. Support GFSI certification and all food safety initiatives. Ensure timely delivery of quality products through coordination with internal departments. Uphold accountability for food Safety, Legality, Authenticity, and Quality (Food-SLAQ).
Requirements:
Qualifications & Skills Experience:
At least 1 year of experience in bakery production or related food manufacturing.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in baking science, food science, or management preferred. Strong understanding of bakery processes and equipment. Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members. Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to troubleshoot process and equipment issues. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and ability to learn SAP or similar systems. Committed to quality, safety, and continuous improvement. Dependable, detail-oriented, and results-driven.
