Job Description

Knowledge/Skills:
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team development abilities.
  • Effective communication skills for workforce coordination.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, ERP/MRP systems, and production software.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing tools (5S/6S, Kaizen, takt time, flow optimization, waste reduction).
  • Ability to interpret production metrics and implement corrective actions.
  • Understanding of ISO 9001, quality inspection checkpoints, and nonconformance handling.
  • Strong ability to enforce safety rules, lead safety talks, and maintain compliant work environments. Qualifications
  • Education/Experience:
  • High School Diploma required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in production leadership (Lead or Supervisor level) in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven experience executing production schedules and improving operational efficiency.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Desirable Experience (Optional but Preferred): o Oversight of employee training matrices and skill certification programs.
o Familiarity with ATEX/IECEx requirements, Ex product training, competencies related to certified product manufacturing.
Duties/Responsibilities:
(Position Specific)
  • Leadership & Team Management o Supervise production employees, assign tasks, manage daily staffing, and communicate performance expectations. o Conduct daily production meetings and ensure communication of KPIs, priorities, and changes. o Conduct coaching, training, and performance discussions as required. o Support cross-training to maintain flexibility and reduce line disruptions.
  • Production Execution o Ensure the execution of production schedules to meet on-time delivery commitments. o Monitor workflow, identify bottlenecks, and coordinate recovery plans. o Ensure accurate completion of production Work Orders / Travelers, checklists, and documentation. o Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to solve production issues quickly.
  • Quality & Process Compliance o Maintain and promote alignment with the company's Quality Policy.
o Enforce adherence to work instructions, product specifications, inspection criteria, and quality standards. o Support root-cause analysis and corrective action implementation. o Ensure proper handling of nonconforming materials with timely QMS documentation. o Maintain process discipline on all certified product lines (ATEX, IECEx, UL/FM, as applicable).
  • Safety & 6S o Enforce plant safety rules and ensure consistent use of PPE and safe operating practices. o Lead shift safety discussions and assist with incident investigations. o Conduct daily 6S audits and promote a culture of organization, discipline, and waste reduction.
  • Continuous Improvement o Identify improvement opportunities in productivity, workflow, ergonomics, and equipment utilization. o Support kaizen events and line-layout improvements. o Participate in Engineering process audits and support new product introduction readiness.
  • Administrative Tasks o Maintain accurate labor reporting, production output data, downtime logs, and shift KPIs.
o Ensure employee training matrices are current and aligned with job requirements. o Support inventory integrity by ensuring proper material recording, scrap reporting, and WIP handling. o Provide shift reports and performance summaries to the Operations Manager. o Monitor employee's attendance and ensure strict adherence to the company's attendance policies Key Performance Indicators (KPI's):
  • Productivity o Daily Output Achievement (% vs. target) o Labor Efficiency (Actual vs. Standard hours)
  • Quality o First Pass Yield (FPY%) o Scrap & Rework Rate (%)
  • Safety o Recordable and Near-Miss Reporting (per month) o Safety Audit Completion and Corrective Action Closure (%)
  • 6S Culture o 6S Audit Score (weekly) o Open 6S actions closed on time (%)
  • On-Time Delivery o Schedule Adherence (%) o WIP Flow Time vs.
Standard Pay:
$28.00
