This role is ideal for a hands-on manufacturing leader who knows centerless grinding, values quality and safety, and can guide a team to meet production goals. In this position, you'll oversee daily grinding operations, support operators and setup personnel, and help drive performance, consistency, and continuous improvement across the department. What you'll do: Lead daily operations within the centerless grinding department to support safety, quality, delivery, and productivity goals. Coordinate staffing, workflow, machine readiness, and production priorities across operators and setup personnel. Provide hands-on support with troubleshooting, machine setup issues, and process improvements as needed. Train, coach, and develop team members on standard work, safe operating practices, quality expectations, and continuous improvement. Monitor production results, part quality, and department performance, taking action to resolve issues quickly. Partner with maintenance, quality, and production leadership to improve uptime, reduce scrap, and strengthen performance. Help maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work environment with strong 5S practices. What we're looking for: Strong centerless grinding experience, including machine setup, troubleshooting, and process control. Prior leadership experience in a manufacturing environment, including supervising, coaching, or leading operators. Ability to balance production needs with quality, safety, and employee development. Strong blueprint-reading and measurement skills, with a focus on holding tight tolerances. High school diploma or GED preferred; additional technical or manufacturing leadership experience is a plus.
