Job Description:
Quality & Finishing Supervisor A long-standing industrial equipment manufacturer in the Round Lake, IL area is seeking a Quality & Finishing Supervisor to join its team. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing quality systems, inspections, corrective actions, final testing, and finishing operations in an electro-mechanical manufacturing environment. The right candidate will be comfortable working closely with production, engineering, testing, and leadership to ensure products are built safely, efficiently, and to customer expectations. Key Responsibilities Lead and support a strong safety and quality culture Manage and improve the Quality Management System Oversee nonconforming material, corrective actions, and quality documentation Supervise in-process inspections, final inspections, and testing activities Coordinate third-party audits and maintain required records Schedule and manage workflow within Finishing and Test departments Train, coach, and mentor team members on quality standards and best practices Develop and report quality metrics to leadership Use data and root cause analysis to drive continuous improvement Ensure compliance with customer, build, and quality requirements Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas Partner cross-functionally with production, engineering, and operations teams Qualifications Bachelor's degree required; Engineering discipline preferred 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment Experience in electro-mechanical manufacturing strongly preferred Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems Experience with nonconforming material, corrective actions, inspections, audits, and quality metrics Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and electrical schematics Previous supervisory or team leadership experience preferred Experience with process improvement, process mapping, and root cause analysis Exposure to testing, finishing, or final inspection operations preferred Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills Why This Opportunity This is a strong opportunity for someone who enjoys being close to the floor and making a direct impact on product quality, team performance, and operational execution.
