Will direct the management workflow to produce pallets according to the production schedule of orders.

Production and Milling Supervisor Job Responsibilities:

Essential Job Duties:

Executes milling and production daily plan by communicating job tasks and timelines. Customer orders are completed by monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures. Provides appropriate training for all related milling and production equipment. This will include all company and industry safety training requirements and procedures. example. Nail guns, Rayco, M.E.T, Notcher. Maintains work flow by monitoring steps of the process; setting timelines; observing control points and equipment; monitoring personnel and resources; studying methods; suggesting cost reductions ideas; developing reporting procedures and systems; facilitating corrections to malfunctions as soon as observed; initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments. Manage dimensional lumber including precut new and re-manufactured. E.g. 2X4 by 48 stringers. Keeps track of saw blades, notcher teeth, stencils, ink, and nails. Keeps trach of lumber inventory. Manages Yard Inventory and Layout. Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules; resolving problems; reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries. Maintains quality Control (QC) services by establishing and enforcing customer specifications. Delivers finish products without any outside contaminants. Ensures safe operation of building by calling for repairs. Suggests and revises systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices, record-keeping systems, forms of control and personnel requirements, recommending change. Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources, maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.

Daily tasks:

Opens the building Unlocks the first gate Rotate with Dock Supervisor on opening doors and turning on lights. Turns the alarm off Opens doors for the employees. Checks around the building for signs of theft or damage that may have occurred. Report and equipment malfunction as soon as possible to Production manager. Occasionally reviews Production Calendar in production office Takes a picture of the calendar the night before to review production for the next day. Adjusts the labor and production based on what is the most important for the daily delivery timelines. Follows stringent QC customer specification requirements for the daily custom bench builds. Checks up on safety concerns and safety inspections, clean-up Orders must be fulfilled and on schedule.

Production form:

How many pallets were built on Rayco and build tables? How many bunks completed daily on trim track? How many bunks completed daily on chop saw? How many bunks from dismantle saws? Weekly tasks Reports dimensional and pre-cut lumber inventory every Tuesday and Thursday. Fills out inventory form Monday, Wednesday, and Friday for production/milling related supplies. Onboards new hires. Attends management meetings for vacation fill-in Vacation fill-in for Production Manager Attends required production planning meetings. Monthly tasks Inventory at month end Maintenance to get the equipment up and running All production and milling equipment - maintenance until facility and equipment maintenance manager can help.
