Welding Team Lead

Agri-Fab is looking for a 2nd shift Welding Team Leader Team Leader will a ssist team members in below standard work in order to meet goals with respect to Safety, Quality, and Production. Assists with training employees, facilitates employee suggestions to the 2-second lean program, and stays in constant communication with supervisor. Standard Work and other

Responsibilities:

Review and adjust labor plan for the shift with supervisor Lead team start-up meeting (5-10 minutes) and pre-shift stretches Assure adherence to safety, 6S and quality standards Supports 6S initiatives & improvements Meet with supervisor to discuss misses, issues and improvements Monitor standard work in each station: Check, Reinforce and Correct Maintains & improves on own and operators' standard work Observes, coaches, and trains operators Performs quality audits, responsible for quality of area Meet daily with supervisor (accountability/improvement on your performance) Next day planning - labor plan and prep for start-up meeting Operate machines when needed Assist with setups Material handles when needed

Qualifications:

Demonstrates knowledge of welding operation and processes. Knowledge of John Deere standards is a plus. Proven leadership ability. Highly self-motivated and self-directed Must be willing to successfully complete forklift certification process. Valid driver's license is required. Demonstrates a professional attitude and demeanor Creative at finding alternative solutions and options. Possesses working knowledge of basic hand tools Physical Requirements Constant standing throughout 10 hour shift, occasional walking Frequent bending, lifting, carrying required throughout shift May be required to lift up to 50 pounds on an intermittent basis Basic Reasoning Skills Ability to apply common sense when following written and oral instructions. Ability to read, interpret, and act on written instruction.
