Sunday-Thursday 11:00pm-7:00am with mandatory overtime as needed

Operations Manager Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Manufacturing Supervisor
  • Press to lead daily operations within the Press Department.
This role is responsible for supervising employees, driving operational efficiency, supporting safety and quality initiatives, and ensuring production schedules are met. The Manufacturing Supervisor will communicate, train, coach, and guide employees while overseeing blanking press, welding, robotic, and material-handling processes to optimize manufacturing output and maintain high-quality standards. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and possess strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Responsibilities:
Lead, train, coach, and develop employees to achieve safety, quality, productivity, and operational goals Schedule and assign personnel based on production requirements and staffing needs Monitor production performance, labor efficiencies, quality metrics, and departmental Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Ensure compliance with safety procedures, quality standards, work instructions, and company policies Identify and resolve production, equipment, staffing, and workflow issues to maintain efficient operations Evaluate employee skills and performance and provide feedback, coaching, and development opportunities Coordinate with Maintenance, Engineering, Planning, Quality, and other departments to support production schedules and continuous improvement initiatives Recommend and implement improvements to manufacturing processes, equipment utilization, product quality, and workplace safety Maintain accurate production records, reports, and departmental documentation Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment while promoting accountability and continuous improvement Participate in management meetings to review production results, operational priorities, and improvement opportunities Support departmental operations as needed and perform other duties as assigned Shift is 8 hours. May work overtime up to 10-12 hours as needed. Employees receive two 10-minute breaks per shift and one 20-minute meal break.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience required (intermediate skill level preferred) High school diploma or GED required Strong leadership, coaching, communication, and interpersonal skills Ability to multitask, problem-solve, and make decisions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Strong understanding of safety, quality, and production expectations within a manufacturing environment Ability to study schedules, manage staffing, and optimize labor efficiency Ability to operate a forklift or willingness to be trained Ability to communicate effectively in
English Physical Demands:
Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds Must be able to carry bumpers weighing up to 63.5 pounds for distances of 15-20 feet Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands, reach above head and below shoulder level, talk, and hear Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds Required to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, and lift materials throughout the workday Exposure to labor-intensive and fast-paced work conditions while supervising departmental operations May be required to support or observe production tasks involving presses, robotic systems, welding operations, forklifts, overhead cranes, and inspections
Work Environment:
The work environment is representative of conditions typical for a manufacturing facility. Guardian West is not a climate-controlled facility. Safety precautions must always be followed to reduce exposure to hazards Fast-paced, team-oriented, and noisy environment with temperatures that vary based on weather conditions Exposure to moving mechanical parts, wet/humid conditions, fumes, airborne particles, and loud environments Occasional exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals and vibration Required use of department PPE, including safety toe boots, hearing protection, safety glasses, Kevlar cut protection clothing, and work apron when applicable Why Join Us?
