Job Description
Summary/objective Provide manufacturing support through leadership, supervision, ensure quality of product is produced per specification, follow schedule, coordinate workflow, and oversee other day to day operations in department Support supervisor with day-to-day department activities. Manage and motivate team members with daily production goals. Essential functions Review and assign work to Grinding Operators, and review specifications, engineering drawings, and provide special instructions as needed per Job Orders. Review and close work orders before moving work order to next station. Follow daily production schedule and provide feedback to Master Scheduler. Ensure all job orders are completed on time and properly documented. Issue raw material job order. Oversee day-to-day operation and hold department to its highest quality standard by assuring MP's, SOP's, and MSs are properly followed. Keep customers in mind (internal and external) and work effectively to achieve team and organization goals. Support supervisor with annual reviews. Support department in achieving daily productivity, earned hours and throughput. Daily monitor efficiency and scrap. Set clear team goals and maintain daily standards. Communicating with Set-up Technicians and operators to achieve daily goals. Maintain cleanliness throughout the department. Help perform set-ups on automatic machines. Provide daily feedback on day-to-day department operations to the supervisor. Adheres to promote safety environmental practices and policies. Inform management on matters of importance which could impact quality, cost, safety, or employee morale. Manage NCR's root cause and corrective actions. Other duties as assigned. Competencies Employee must meet quality standards of productivity set by the company. Occasional decision-making regarding quality of product produced. Must be able to work in different areas of the dept. and learn new job skills. Must be able to work with others in group setting.

Read, write, and good verbal communication skills. Ability to understand measuring instruments. Supervisory responsibilities N/A Required education and experience High school diploma or GED. One (1) to three (3) years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred Education and experience Five years proven experience as a team lead and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferable.
