Job Description

Responsibility The Stamping Press Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of stamping press activities. This role ensures production targets, quality standards, and safety requirements are consistently met while coordinating personnel, materials, and equipment for efficient workflow via QCDSM (Quality, Cost, Delivery, Safety, and Moral. This position also supports (ATA) efforts to promote Corporate Social Responsibility, (CSR) and ensure activities are carried out in cooperation with G-TEKT CSR, and Corporate Governance initiatives and activities to ensure compliance in functional areas of responsibility. Accountable to Press Asst Manager, Press Manager Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree preferred 3+ years of experience in automotive manufacturing or metal stamping operations Previous Leadership experience preferred Strong understanding of stamping press machinery, dies, and tooling Familiarity with quality standards and inspection processes Basic knowledge of lean manufacturing principles Ability to read blueprints and production documentation Leadership Provide day-to-day directions and support to press associates and team leaders Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and teamwork on the production floor Coach and mentor employees to improve performance, skills, and engagement Lead shift meetings, communicate expectations, and reinforce company goals Address performance issues constructively and support corrective actions Encourage employee involvement in problem-solving and continuous improvement Service Coordinate and monitor stamping press operations to meet production schedules and output goals Ensure proper setup, changeover, and operation of stamping presses and related equipment Collaborate with maintenance, quality, and production teams to minimize downtime and defects Track production metrics, including efficiency, scrap rates, and machine performance Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions as needed Support continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., lean manufacturing, waste reduction) Support

requirements Train and guide press operators on best practices and standard operating procedures Maintain accurate production records and reports Communicate shift updates, priorities, and issues to leadership and incoming teams Operations Oversee and coordinate die-changeovers, ensuring quick and efficient setups (SMED principles) Verify correct die installation, press settings, and first-piece approvals prior to full production runs Monitor press tonnage, stroke rates, lubrication systems, and feeder operations Ensure raw materials (coil stock, blanks) are available and staged for uninterrupted production Communicate with Die Maintenance to confirm die work to ensure production schedules Monitor product quality for 100% compliance to part specifications and tolerances Confirm production numbers daily for all press machines Calculate production volume to prepare daily reports and monitor stamped parts inventory Determine die order for daily production Confirm accuracy in die usage for production Coordinate with material handlers and forklift operators to maintain proper material flow Track and respond to machine downtime, escalate mechanical issues to maintenance as needed Verify proper scrap handling, segregation, and disposal processes Audit operator adherence to standardized work instructions and job safety analyses Support troubleshooting of stamping defects such as cracks, wrinkles, or dimensional issues Ensure proper use and storage of dies, tooling, and related equipment Assist in implementing poka-yoke (error-proofing) systems to prevent defects Participate in daily production meetings and update press performance and constraints All other duties assigned by Press Asst Manager, Press Manager Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree preferred 3+ years of experience in automotive manufacturing or metal stamping operations Previous Leadership experience preferred Strong understanding of stamping press machinery, dies, and tooling Familiarity with quality standards and inspection processes Basic knowledge of lean manufacturing principles Ability to read blueprints and production documentation Press Coordinator 1st Shift 2001 West Just Industrial Parkway, Austin, IN 47102 Responsibility The Stamping Press Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of stamping press activities.
