Bedford, Indiana, United States Talascend is currently seeking a Production Supervisor located in Bedford, Indiana. Overview The production supervisor will oversee a team in a die cast facility, ensuring operational efficiency, safety compliance, and quality standards. The role involves managing unionized staff and coordinating daily manufacturing activities on a rotating shift schedule. Responsibilities Supervise approximately 18-20 team members working in a die cast environment.
Oversee 21 individual die cast machines and monitor their status throughout the shift.
Conduct pass-on meetings and perform safety talks with the team.
Assign tasks, troubleshoot issues, and make decisions to resolve quality or machine problems.
Handle disciplinary actions and ensure adherence to safety and production protocols.
Maintain shift documentation including sheets and audits.
Coordinate with engineering, maintenance, and tooling departments as needed.
Manage day-to-day team performance and problem-solve operational challenges. Qualifications High school diploma required; bachelor's degree preferred.
Minimum 5 years of leadership experience, including union environment experience a bonus.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to multitask.
Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, especially Outlook and Excel.
Technical background in die casting or manufacturing preferred. Preferred Qualifications Union experience. Shift Onsite 12-hour days with a rotating schedule: 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, 3 days off, including weekends.
