Our wide range of products includes seed, lawn and garden supplies, farm supplies, feed ingredients, bird seed, and pet supplies. Founded in 1965, we have seen steady growth over the years. Job Title:
Seed Production Supervisor Position Overview The seed production supervisor oversees and leads our mixing department. We mix turf, forage, and cover crop seed, as well as bird feed. The ideal candidate will be a reliable, hard-working individual with strong organization and leadership skills. Responsibilities
  • Oversee the production of seed mixing and ensure its quality and accuracy
  • Lead a department of 6 to 12 employees and monitor performance of team members
  • Train new employees in the mixing department
  • Maintain cleanliness of the seed area
  • Oversee daily routines and plan the daily mixing schedule
  • Keep flow of workload moving efficiently by pulling ingredients for upcoming mixes
  • Communicate verbally and in writing with office staff
  • Enforce safety
  • Work with the warehouse manager to identify enhancements in efficiency
  • Monitor flow of orders and report discrepancies
  • Oversee proper rotation of inventory
  • Audit product weight and ensure accuracy
  • Locate inventory correctly using RF gun and assist with inventory control, including inventory of bags, labels, supplies, etc.
  • Schedule team members' hours according to workload
  • Monitor attendance and punctuality of team
  • Maintain a courteous and positive relationship with all co-workers
  • Arrive to work on time
  • Overtime required during peak seasons
  • Assist in other areas as necessary Requirements
  • Experience in agricultural mixing or a related field preferred
  • Experience in a prior leadership role preferred
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and efficient
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, including experience using email and Microsoft Excel
  • Upbeat attitude
