Job Description

As the Production Supervisor, you are responsible for providing direct supervision of a diverse and talented manufacturing team, organizing and training staff members in an effective manner to achieve a reasonable workflow throughout the day, ensuring that all tasks are performed in a safe and efficient manner, daily production goals are being met, and that all customer requirements are met. Essential Functions
  • Provide leadership and direction to ensure people and resources are applied in an efficient and effective manner to meet delivery requirements while achieving quality and safety standards. Maintain effective working relationships with team members through open communication, visibility, and involvement to promote a positive working environment that maximizes employee engagement.
  • Understand and communicate safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance in all areas of safety.
  • Comprehend all related work instructions and SOP manuals in order to train other team members.
  • Responsible for team member coaching and development, employment decisions, and resolving issues through conflict resolution. Trains, coaches and reviews performance of team members, providing appropriate recognition, feedback, and/or discipline when necessary. Partners with Human Resources and Operations Manager for recruitment, incident reporting, corrective actions, and terminations.
  • Ensure all incidents, accidents or injuries are documented immediately and reported to appropriate management personnel.
  • Communicate with opposite shift supervisor to discuss pertinent information and/or schedule changes.
  • Facilitate meetings related to quality, housekeeping, safety, productivity, and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain employee rosters, include if any employees are on vacation, FMLA, or sick leave.
  • Ensure efficient upkeep and utilization of equipment by communicating with upper management and the maintenance department.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements.
Qualifications and Skills Strong written and verbal communication skills and basic knowledge of arithmetic. Self-motivated, self-directed and have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Capable of handling multiple activities at the same time. Demonstrated ability to provide leadership skills such as decision-making, motivation, and problem-solving. Ability to work as part of a team and collaborate effectively. Ability to repeatedly lift heavy objects, walk and stand for long periods of time and perform strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions. Flexible with working overtime as needed. Must adhere to all company policies, including attendance.
  • Familiar with the coordination of Shipping and Receiving.
  • Familiar with Scheduling of production schedules and work orders. Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree in related field preferred.
ISO & IATF 16949
knowledge and understanding is a plus.
  • 3+ years of experience in a supervisory role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Basic understanding of OSHA, labor and federal regulations.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Pay:
$58,240.00 - $66,560.00 per year
