GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Padgett, Inc is seeking a motivated manager to lead our fabrication shop into the future. This high pace position requires a strong emphasis on leadership, employee management, training programs, morale, and setting/maintaining the Company goals. This position will work hand in hand with all departments of the Company along with the full fabrication and maintenance shop. Must be able to multi-task and work together with all Company employees.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF POSITION

Be a Leader and a Team Builder. Inspire all team members to be the best they can be. Improve the talent level of current personnel and recruit new employees and lead them to their greatest potential through training, coaching, support and motivation. Implement a training program to cross train for redundancy. Listen to our employees input & suggestions. Set goals for the team supervisors and hold them accountable to meeting those goals. Maintain comprehensive steel fabrication & maintenance programs that complies with Padgett and/or Customer Requirements. After receiving the work order and drawings from the Estimator, Own the project(s) through completion and shipping. Establish goals, set priorities and coordinate all work to drive focus towards meeting or exceeding our work schedules and under the estimated hours. Assures compliance with company regulations, environmental and safety.

REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION

College level degree in project management or 10+ years' work experience in the Management of Steel Fabrication & Erection. Must have excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills. Must be self-motivated. Speak with everyone in a polite, professional tone and mannerism. never cursing, condescending nor degrading. Ensure that all of your personnel do the same. Supervision of production team, maintenance team, fabrication drawings coordinator and fabrication team. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds. Must have valid driver's license.
