Manufacturing Supervisor - 2nd Shift Confidential Posting Position Summary A growing manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Supervisor - 2nd Shift to lead daily production operations and drive performance across the production floor. This role is responsible for supervising frontline teams, ensuring production targets are met, and maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with a strong background in manufacturing operations and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Production Leadership Oversee daily production operations to ensure efficient workflow and on-time delivery Monitor staffing, production schedules, and resource allocation Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality standards Operational Performance Track and analyze key production metrics, including: Output Efficiency Downtime Scrap and rework Identify and implement improvements to increase throughput and reduce waste Support Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives Team Leadership & Development Lead, coach, and develop production employees Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and engagement Safety & Compliance Enforce all workplace safety policies and procedures Conduct safety meetings and routine floor inspections Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal safety standards Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain teams Support equipment reliability and proper usage Escalate and address production issues to minimize downtime Required Skills & Qualifications Strong leadership, problem-solving, and analytical skills Experience supervising teams in a manufacturing environment Knowledge of production processes and basic equipment maintenance Proficiency with Microsoft Office and manufacturing systems Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting Strong communication and organizational skills Education & Experience High school diploma or equivalent required Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations, or related field preferred Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing experience, including leadership responsibilities Experience with Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement initiatives preferred Ability to read and interpret production drawings and work instructions Physical Requirements Ability to work in a manufacturing environment Frequent standing and walking Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally Additional Information This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship Equal Opportunity Employer This organization is an Equal Opportunity Employer and is committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
