Job Description

Vuteq is an automotive supplier for a major automotive manufacturer located in the Princeton, IN area. Vuteq is currently looking for a Production Assistant Manager. We are looking for a strong team player with assembly and or logistics experience, preferably in the automotive industry. We will also consider recent college graduates. Candidates should possess strong communication skills, computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and AutoCAD. Job Responsibilities The role of this position is to supervise and coordinate activities of production team members including production areas and other related duties concerning the production of company products.
  • Interprets company policies to team members and enforces safety regulations to ensure good team member relations.
  • Analyzes monthly production reports and implement countermeasures to correct inefficiencies.
  • Supervise 50 - 100 production workers and 2-4 staff members.
  • Reviews and prepares if necessary, production schedules and estimates team member hour requirements for completion of job assignment.
  • Inspects products to verify conformance to specifications and directs setup and adjustments of machines.
  • Interprets specifications, blueprints, and job orders to workers, and assigns duties.
  • Consults with engineering personnel relative to modification of machines and equipment in order to improve production and quality of products.
  • Coordinates production activities with maintenance and quality control activities to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources, machines, and equipment.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with customers and provide excellent customer support.
  • Establish goals and targets to exceed company objectives.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
Supervisory skills are necessary to accomplish quality/production results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching and counseling team members, initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.

  • Strong Excel, Microsoft Outlook, are required, AutoCAD skills preferred
