- Full-time Engineered Plastic Components (EPC) is a world-class manufacturer of plastic products, and as a growing company is actively looking for a Production Manager to oversee facility operations from all aspects relating to the interests of the company as well as the customers.
This person will oversee and coordinate all aspects of the production process, ensuring efficiency, quality, and timely delivery plan schedules, manage resources, monitor inventory, and lead teams to meet production goals while adhering to budgets and deadlines.
Job Description:
Develop production schedules and plans to meet customer demand and company goals. Manage the flow of materials, equipment, and labor to ensure efficient production. Allocate resources effectively to optimize production output and minimize waste. Monitor production progress against schedules and identify potential bottlenecks. Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions to maintain productivity and quality. Manage and track production data to analyze trends and identify areas for improvement. Lead and motivate production teams, providing guidance and support to ensure optimal performance. Train and develop team members to improve their skills and knowledge. Address performance issues and implement solutions to ensure a high-performing team. Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure products meet required standards. Monitor quality metrics and identify areas for improvement in the production process. Ensure adherence to safety regulations and industry standards.
Job Duties :
Collaborate with other departments, such as sales, marketing, and engineering, to ensure seamless coordination. Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and management. Maintain open communication within the production team to ensure everyone is aware of their roles and responsibilities. Manage inventory levels of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods to meet production needs. Implement inventory control systems to minimize waste and optimize storage space. Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of raw materials. Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. Stay up to date on the latest production technologies and techniques to ensure the company remains competitive. Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the production team Conduct decision-making at a local level to ensure adherence to the corporate-level procedures, and the local QMS, while meeting all customer shipping requirements. Communicate with the President as required reviewing the business performance & needs, providing any necessary capital requests with supporting justification, and updating staffing concerns as adjustment is required. Complete process audits as required by the preventative maintenance system to meet the requirements established in the QMS.

requirements A bachelor's degree is typically required, often in fields like Industrial Engineering, Business Management, or Operations Management. Plant Manager and 5+ years of experience in a supervisory or management role, with a focus on production or manufacturing, is common.
